The Mecklenburg County Courthouse designed by Louis Asbury, the Industrial Loan and Investment Bank designed by Martin E. Boyer, and the Firehouses designed by Charles Christian Hook all represent municipal architecture. These buildings run as self-governed institutions with a relationship to the town's government.
