Building My Charlotte: The Queen City and its Architects

Major Stuart Cramer House

The Stuart Cramer House, designed by Martin Boyer, is depicted here in a photograph taken after it was constructed and in a recent photograph. It is obvious that the exterior of the structure has remained the same over the years. The wood beams throughout the building as well as the asymmetrical aspect of the building allows the viewer to see the Tudor-Revival aspects of the structure. Martin Boyer, as shown through this exhibit in particular, was able to work with many different types of architectural styles and excel at creating the homes in the southern suburbs of Charlotte.
