Originally designed and built by C. C. Hook in 1915 for J. B. Duke, this villa was bought by C. C. Coddington (a Buick automobile distributor) after Duke's death in 1925. This postcard is one of two which features the same house. The other postcard features the home as belonging to J. B. Duke.
